The citizen pledge

Ask every candidate. Apply the same rules to everyone.

The two reforms are firm. The exact legal language remains open to honest, public debate.

I believe government should belong to ordinary citizens—not political organizations, large financial interests, or permanent officeholders.

  1. Establish reasonable lifetime term limits for Congress, state legislatures, and Council of State offices.
  2. Establish firm campaign-spending ceilings and require every paid candidate-election effort to pass through one accountable campaign.

I call on every candidate and elected official, regardless of party, to state publicly whether they support these two reforms.
